Check out my fantastic leather jacket!! I got a great deal at San Diego Leather, Inc in National City.

The jacket is totally handmade. Since I have short arms it was nice to take care of the “tailoring” right away.  I tried on dozens of jackets in the store before deciding on this style and color (black).  I think this is the best leather jacket I’ve ever had quality wise– it smells so good!  I’m actually hoping the weather cools down soon so I can wear it finally.

The store guarantees the stitching for 10 years and the zipper for 5 years although as well made as my jacket is– it’s doubtful that this is even necessary.

In addition to leather jackets, they carry boots, pants, mens and women’s fashion leather and police type leather jackets.  I really still can’t believe that my jacket was handmade– by real people– in the USA.

I tend to get attached to certain items– so definitely will be posting more photos as I “wear” my new jacket.   (I can’t believe I’m writing this— but, I can’t wait for winter!!!!)

San Diego- I have electricity!

I just got my electricity back an hour ago. Had to charge my phone and computer before I could blog again!! No shopping for bargains tonite. I spent the evening by candle light listening to my battery operated radio. Tomorrow I will be shopping for candles, batteries, non-perishable foods and a new flashlight. Will have to search for some thrifty options.

Time to fall asleep!!!!

This is what I told myself before I started the task of organizing my closet…

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.

~Mark Twain

…more on closet organization later….

Just a thought…

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.  ~Dr. Seuss
