Oh wow– what a treat when I stopped by at 4851 Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach recently. The shop is called Unique Gifts. Of course, like me you will likely want to keep everything in sight for yourself! When I visited, the store was just in process of getting set up. It looks like the idea is for small shops of independent merchants selling their wares.
I found unique items ranging from jewelry to jackets to small plants. This shop was a true pleasure to browse.

Actually, the plants are the best thing in the store. I wish I knew where to buy nice succulents like that here in Hawaii.

I agree– the plants were good. However, I liked the sundresses too. I found this place on literally the first real day they were open. This was a vacant storefront for a really long time. I suspect once they get up and running their inventory will increase and improve somewhat.
Oh wow. Look at that old Dr. Pepper crate. I just LOVE shops like these. They take you back in time, don’t they?
I liked that old crate too. These pics were taken about a month ago literally on the first day this place opened. I want to stop by again to see what kind of new vendors they have now.
This a great store, Unique gifts by many different venders makes for a fun time shopping at OB.
